After a long week of some 'heavy' science for Luke, not to mention Jude... I decided that today would be a nice day to play in some cake mixes. In geography, we have been studying about continents, oceans, longitudes, latitudes, prime meridians, equators, blah blah blah... you get the idea.
So, needless to say, after all that mumbo jumbo about the oxygen cycle
(sorry to all my biology teacher friends and science lovers... not to mention my brother!) it was time to 'sweeten' the mood with a little cake!
The boys read the directions, measured the ingredients and prepared their pans for baking. We went back up stairs for a little more map learning while the cakes baked and cooled. Afterwards, they were told to decorate their planets however they chose. The only requirements were to include a continent and an ocean... and here are their creations.
